What We Do?            

We resolve complaints of the existing and prospective taxpayers and provide relief to the public by carrying out independent investigations about maladministration by functionaries administering the federal taxes. We strive to put things right, share lessons learnt and help improve public services and systems. Our independent complaints handling service is free and open to everyone.

We aim to redress taxpayers’ grievances as fairly and as quickly as we can, after examining all facts. If we determine that the Revenue Division has acted wrongly, we will recommend them to put things right for you. This can include recommending the agency to provide you relief sought, information you have a right to access and to treat you fairly and in accordance with law.


We Cannot Help You if Your Complaint is About:

  • Matters that are sub-judice
  • External and defence Affairs
  • Service matters
